View Full Version : FS: 86 Toyota Corolla SR5 GTS!!!!!!!

This is the good one people. Rear wheel drive, 4AGE motor (same one they use in the Toyota 4cyl indy cars).
Solid rear axle, (same as used in 4runners!)
TRD makes TONS of stuff for this motor.
Decent shape, right front part of the bumper gone...needs to be replaced. (searched one on ebay for 60.00)
looks worse then it is and it could use some paint but it runs good!
This car is rare and highly sought after....
can be urs for 2500!

my boy is a toyota tech. he told me. its twin cam. aka DOHC.

2500 is a little steep for that car. What's your mileage? How many owners has it had? Why is there a trailer hitch on it? What's up with the rear bumper being all rubbed up and shifted? What happened to the rear spoiler? How recent is that curb damage on the rear drivers side rim? And where did you find a front bumper for $60 on ebay (post that link if you could)?

ur boy at toyota tech is wrong, toyota never made GTS/SR5, its GTS with GTS drivetrain, just because its a rare car in colorado, that does'nt make it worth $2,500 just from looking at the pictures, the car does not worth more than $1,000 if that

i thought that this car was sold to some guy on Codrift.org "dan86"?

to really make a sr5 a gts, you need the engine, gas tank, all breather lines, and usually a lsd diff/axles/brakes. im pretty sure you also need the guage cluster (sohc to dohc) and the sr5 tranny needs the gts bell housing. the sr5 clutch slave cyl is on the opposit side from the gts one. the sr5 has the crappy interior also, gts is much nicer. get a pic of the badge under the hood on the firewall, if it says AE86, its gts. that thing prob has a lot of rust also. you need to post a lot more info about that corolla to ask that price, especially if it is sr5 to gts conversion. put mileage, options, lots more pics of engine bay and interior, rust?, etc, etc, etc.........

ps, those little blue lenses in your rear lamps are lame. get some factory taillights to replace the ones you f#cked up.

haha..what do you mean? that's mad jdm y0! no just kidding. i will be getting more info soon. it's not my car. but give it a lil tlc and this thing would be hard core.

if its a real gt-s, in the vin it should read ae88 and not ae86

sorry to be an a-hole, i used to sell those little blue lenses when i worked at a checker, they remind me of all the V8 know it all's, losers.
ill get a pic of the tag where is says AE86, the vin number has AE88 in it.

IS this even your car your selling??? If not, have the OWNER actually chime in so we don't get the run around and you don't waste any more valuable web space with "I don't know" answers. This way, the car MIGHT actually sell.

i thought that the car was sold to some guy up in arvada several weeks ago, and YES the tech boys at toyota are wrong, i've seen the car in person and its the car is not worth more than $500. FYI

Well at least you robbed someone... right? and BTW... GTS and SR5 are TRIM LEVELS you ass clown! The gts got the twin cam and the lsd and was nicer the sr5 was bone stock... if SR5 IS a body style why the hell do all the old toyota trucks have SR5 on the back? cuz its a TRIM LEVEL, not a body style.... the body style is a hatchback.
