HAI Event In March (pics)

Post your pics, vids, and stories here. I just got home so I'm not gonna do the vids tonight but I will tommorrow. Again I'd like to everyone who made it, it was an awesome event. Anyone who wants to donate a WRX frontend, contact me ;)

I couldnt make it either cause i was putting all the parts on my laser. Got everything done exept i have to hack the air filter housing more so i can close the hood cause of the dejon intake. Hey V8spankR, did yours get in the way too?

I didn't bring the camera this time :(. There were quite a few of us but I think only 5 of us actually got on the track. Pat and Paul showed up just after I did. 93.5 octane makes great ligher fluid for grills :) right Pat?

Some of the pro racers kept on coming over to look under the hood of my car. One of them asked "How much boost? 6psi?" my reply was "try 30". I don't think I've ever seen soo many jaws drop in one day :). It was a fun day which we need to do again. I'll probly have the struts in this weekend depending on the weather. Its looking like the car needs 2 more weeks of a good driving to get it broken in. I'm down to less than 400 miles left in the breakin.

Paul did your ABS light ever go off?

i just want to say, your car is bad ass :) . i think his ABS light shutoff later in the day :)

Yep,my ABS was fine about an hour later but I did make a couple of laps w/o it and IMO ABS did make a world of difference. I made a run of 6 laps in a row and the coolant temp never went over 201 degrees but I'm sure in the summer it might be different.
Yeah Dave,thanks for taking me to get more fluid and I can't wait to ride in your car at anything over 20psi.

Hey Dallas,I already hacked my canister and I had no issues with under hood clearance.

I should have the videos up tonight. Here's what I'm gonna do:
I'm gonna have fairly small/low quality ones on my site to download. I'll have higher quality/bigger ones too but I can't put on my site but if anyone wants to host them here on HAI or elsewhere let me know and I'll send them to you. Then I'll have some "very high quality" ones that I'll put on cd for anyone who wants it. To give an idea of sizes the Low quality in-car of my wrx is 5 minutes long and 7mb, the High Quality is 24mb, and the CD Quality is 110mb.

Alright, the "low quality" (and I mean low, but I was trying to keep them small) videos are up on my site under the files section. My site is http://exorcism.phlebiacs.de/ and you will need the "DiVX" codec to view them (it's a good way of compressing avi videos, and I have both divx's website and the codec itself linked at the end of the files section.)

Generic has already offered to host them too, we'll let you know when that's available, and I have MUCH better quality versions I'm willing to put on cd to distribute.

it was cool hanging out with you guys, we need to hit up second creek again (my brakes and clutch finally feel normal now :o ) too bad you got a ticket though :(

Yeah, I won't be going back anytime soon, my parents have officially banned me from ever using the wrx or any of their vehicles again (tho the wrx was technically deemed mine upto now) so I'll have to work my way up from the bottom, not sure I could ever go back to second creek with anything less than the wrx. I really wish I had any pics of vids of the accident, was very memorable too.

I'm also pretty sure you have to have a license to run second creek, which I won't have for much longer for sure.

I don't think you need a licensce to run. They never seemed to check them yesterday . that really sucks though :(

Yep the event was awesome.
I had never run at 2nd Creek before. Informal is an understatment. When asking the guy running the place if there was anything we should know, his answer was "dont follow the bikes too closely, they make bad speedbumps."

Ehhh.

Anyhow, it was an awesome time and a pleasure to meet you guys. If I can find some webspace (and some freetime), I will post up some pics, and possibly some movies.

I emailed that addy and never got a reply, I need a 2002 wrx bumper/front end, pre-painted blue if possible, what'll that cost?
