I'm tired of putting up with comcrap. sure the "6mb" is great, but rarely can i ever maintain that speed. A week or so ago, connection really started acting up and i can't keep a stable connection. then all of a sudden, the damn thing just crapped out. I called monday to get a tech out to look at it and they were suppose to come tuesday between 8am-5pm. i told them, well, when is it? got home at 7pm, and it's still not resolved. Called comcrap to find out what's going on, and they said they can't get ahold of the tech, so he must be behind, and that he will either take a look at it before the end of the day, so basically they told me before midnight or they will be in weds from 8am-5pm. my brother calls me, and still no one came by yet. called them up last night, and the rep stated he's putting in a special request form and a teck will be there between 8am-10am. well, still no go.

i called comcast up during my lunch, and this rep tells me, they can reschedule me for another appointment, because apparently now, they say someone has to be home while a tech comes over and looks at it.

i'm tired of this shit, and it's just time to move on. so any highspeed internet suggestions? list speed and price if possible. i'm in the lakewood/green mountain area.

TIA

Every high speed provider is gonna have their quirks man. I personally have Qwest DSL.. and the connection will drop every now and then, but it has never been solidly out. 7mb for $50 a month, or 1.5mb for $40/month. I have the latter as I can't see 7mb being all that great of a difference unless it's a local server.

Now if you can get your hands on Qwest's vDSL... now THAT was the service. I had one outtage in 2 years, 2mb down, 2mb up, for like $45/month.

see if mho.net will serviceh your area. They use microwave wireless high-speed, at least in certain parts of Denver and Castle Rock for sure.
