I'm no expert, but one thing is that there's no knock sensor circuit on P28's.

it all depends on the program you are running on your chipped p28. some programs still utilize the knock sensor while others, like crome or uberdata, you can choose to disable it.

If you are running a B16A stay with the P30 for your daily driving. If you buy a Chipped P28 buy it as a second ECU running Data or Neptune but not as your main ECU.
