Relocating battery to trunk

So i'm thinking on moving it to the back because it's just too crowded in the EF w/ the b16. The thing is, how strict are the techs if i want to take it to the track?? do they check if the box is vented? does it matter if the box is plastic or metal? how bout the cut off switch out back, do i have to have one?

Yes to all of those. It doesn't matter so much what kind of material it is, just so long as it's NHRA legal. Just get the summit box.

And make sure you wire the alternator to the switch so it kills the car completely when you turn the switch off, otherwise forget about going through tech until it works.
