Ahhh yes, the infamous vroom vroom syndrome.
Check all of your vacuum lines, you probably missed one.

There's also the 2 sensor plugs that when switched, will cause oscillating idle. I forget which 2 they are.

MAP and TPS! Those are the 2 I can think that swap. If all the Vac lines are good try tightining the bolts on the manifold. If that doesn't work just race them and kick their asses with that JDM power!

If "vroom vroom" means "ultra annoying bouncing idle from 1K to 1.5K," I've got it too on my Civic (b18c1). Didn't used to; it's gradually gotten worse over the course of a year or so. It started happening only when cold, and now it's all the time. I screwed in the plastic white thing in the back of the intake manifold and it fixed it for a few weeks, but now it's back with a vengance.
Basically, the possibilities are vacuum leak after the TB and faulty IACV right?

I checked my coolant level this morning, fully topped it off - no improvement.

Could also be your IACV. Although I am not sure if b series have iacv's but I know people have had idle jumps from a dirty/faulty iacv.

hello, I am camels roomate and friend, the motor he is talking about is missing one vacuum line but can find other end. We did plug it up and it did help for second and then it did start again. The lobe happens sometimes, seems like it goes away at times too. We are tracing the line but know the line missing is on intake manifold and in the rear right with black knob on top. It points towards the firewall. Let us know if you see something

There's a lot of suggestions here - god it would be nice if it was just loose TB or IM mounting bolts/nuts, wouldn't it?

i plugged that line up. it was from that black canister under the fuel filter. i think it ia a charcoal canister. That seem to improve it but... still self revving vroom vroom.it seems to RARELY hesitate too off the line. If i get on it i goes but it stutters i think due to coldness of the temp guage.i think the thermostat likes to stick open when a cold start or its super cold out. i can bury the needle at the c if i get on it. which if it goes down that low i dont. but it roams from normal temp to low temps after extended driving. i dont know if it has anything to do with the idle but it improves when colder temps or on cold start....no roaming idle. just at normal temp. i have a honda thermostat ill try that tomorrow.but i know that there is NO air in the cooling system. i just think the current stat is staying open.(stuck)Not overheating.... just under heating at weird times...also a jumpy speedo and roaming fuel guage too... MAYBE A GROUND??

Assuming that's your car in your sig.. very clean ride. I'm not a big fan of Sols.. but that one is very nice.

I had that problem on my D16. It ended up being the intake Mani. Gasket. Apparently it's fragile.
