It depends on the car and what you want for materials and how you want it hung.

2000 civic si, 3 inch stainless (the best only) and on the hung part i am kind of lost.

On the hang there is mandrel bends that all need to be welded together or crush bends that can be done in a single peice of pipe. The crush bends are about 75% cheaper and last longer because there are fewer welds. The mandrels flow better, and look nicer but can sometimes hit the body (especially 3 inch) and suspension because I have no control over the radius of the bend so were stuck with some hard angles sometimes. I can do a crush bend 3 inch cat back in steel in a day for about $350. Mandrel bent steel (sectional) in a couple of days for about $550 and SS mandrel bends in 3 inch for about $700 (muffler prices not included on any of these)

wouldn't the crush bent piping mess up the flow of things?

They dont flow as well, another reason why its cheaper. You get what you pay for.
