However it didn't come with the disk. :(

They're sending me one, but I don't have the software for now.

Steve, could you put the software up so I could download it in the meantime?

Steve, why did you give up on your's and what the diffs between the AEM and the Hondata?

I going to stick with it. I don't see a Hondata being a whole lot easier. In fact a lot of the screen prints I've seen of it look remarkably similar to the AEM software. Plus with no 4b dealers in the state if I went that route I'd have to buy a 4b, which when you add boost feature and the wiring harnes adapter you've spent another $500 above the AEM system (which is more powerfull).

There's an AEM seminar down in Texas in a few weeks, I may make the drive to see if I get some help with it.

I'm going to set it up first to use the JR FPR until I get injectors. I don't think the stock fuel system can flow enough without it, even if the ECU is capable of giving the right data. Soon I'll be on 450cc DSM injectors and an AEM FPR instead of the Jackson FPR setup (send me a price on that regulator guys, in fact didn't one just come back on a return? If so I'll take it.)

To tell you the truth the system is a pain in the ass. I have been doing a lot of talking with a fellow owner of the AEM that owns a Hondata 4B to and he will take his 4b over the AEM anyday. I like the system and it is powerful, but when it is supposed to be plug and play and it wont even run the car that is not cool. From what I have seen the Hondata is easier to work with because it doesn t have all the non honda funtions in it. I amy be getting 4b here real soon so we will see what becoems of it. If not I may stick with the AEM and get the car going. but there is a lot better support out there for the Hondata and IMO the guys at AEM are not too knowledgable on it. If you make any ground with it in the next few days let me know......

I'm not going to start working on it till after the track day this weekend. I want to read the manual thouroghly and maybe a couple other books on fuel injection too. I'll keep you posted when I start though.

yeah that is a good idea. The manuels are about 200 pages. I have read them a couple times. There is just a lot of nit picky littlestuff with the EMS....

I didn't return mine yet, but if you'd like it and it will fit your application, I'll give it to you for what I paid for it or under it a bit. If you're going to be at the meet sunday (weather permitting) I could hook you up with it then if you want (just bring some cash), unless you want it sooner.

I'd take it, but I need to pay with either a check or credit card. I can't get to my bank between now and then to get cash, I've just go too much going on between now and Sunday.

I'll take a check so long as you're good for it. However, your application takes a 25-300 (94-01 Integra ALL) whereas mine is a 25-304 (Civic EX). I don't know what the differences are, but I figure you, or Brian, or better yet AEM would know. If you get a chance to call them tomorrow or Saturday (if they are even open on Saturdays), let me know what you find out. I'll try and call them as well, but chances are I'll either forget or won't find the time at all.

Any of you guys make any progress with the EMS? I thought that came with base maps to get your cars running?

On another note, I noticed on hondata.com's site that there is someone in Colorado with a 4b and programmer now. Dunno who it is or if they're offering programing/tuning support because it doesn't say. I'm still looking to run hondata when the turbo gets here, so hopefully somehow there will be access to a 4b around here, hehe. First I need to find a new ecu though...

well I dont think I am goign to get rid of the ems now. I can get the car to idle and drive jsut fine off of boost with teh base maps. It is just a pain to tune becasue there are so many factors on the systme to take into considreration. I will probably start messing with it again this weekend or something.

Where have you guys gotten your EMS's at? I'm wondering if this will be a better cost alternative then going Hondata since with Hondata I need an new ECU and OBD I > OBD II conversion harness. Not to mention I need a 4b of my own or somebody that has one in order to tune it.

Sure, shoot me an email at justin@jackmoves.com. This purchase is still a few months down the road, assuming things go the way I plan, but it's good to budget. I'm more interested in how you guys are doing with them right now :) Maybe I could see it sometime or the software? That would be cool.

Thanks.

The main thing I need is the pdf file for the manual and the base maps to start my car. I've already downloaded the updated software.

While I'm thinking about it, can you shoot me a price on a AEM fpr? I talked to exciv2000 about just buying his from him, but it doesn't fit my car.

I also need resistor packs for DSM injectors if you can get those too.

Pat, here is the file you need. I went ahead and compressed the whole cd to a 24MB zip file. DOWNLOAD HERE (http://hai.clubrsx.com/aemstuff.zip)
