the brake and reverse lights in my 95 civic sedan do not work. I know the reason has to do with the motor swap that it has undergone (b16 w/ manual tranny). The car originally had cruise control and an automatic tranny, but now has neither. I know the brake switch connection is the cruise control type. i have not looked at the gear selsctor switch for the reverse lights. I do know that the brake light bulbs work, but that they are not reading any current when tested, neither do the reverse lights get current
Any help would be appreciated

did you connect that plug back into the front bottom of the tranny? thats how it reads when your in reverse to turn the lights on. as for the brakes, maybe a fuse?

Check all your fuses. I have a 94 sedan and had the same issue. It was a fuse, I'm not sure what circut they are tied into, check all your fuses. Under the hood, and under the dash. If you are not reading any current at the lights it is probably a fuse. Good Luck.

Moved to tech for better responce. I would have to look and see what is going on with the wiring for any clues to what is wrong.
