Ok, so I let someone use my computer, and it went all downhill from there. Now there are sites that have videos, like streetfire, that when I would click on the vid, windows media player would open automatically. Now, when I click it, it will dl it, then give me an error instead of just playing the video when you click it like before. I'm not too good with computers, so I hope I explained it good enough. Can someone lend a hand?

Check file associations to make sure things like .mpg, .avi, .wma are opened with Media player. In windows explorer, go to tools, click on folder options, file associations. Also try upgrading your browser and set up media options to default (I don't know which browser you're using)

W3rd, tell us the error. But Leo is teh right, listen to the brizzo and check up w/ your file associations for the file type (extension ie... .wmv, .avi, .mp4 etc..) to make sure that that particular file type is supposed to be opened up w/ windows media player or whatever player you use and prefer. But until we know what error your getting, we can't do anything but pop a squat.
