Just wondering if anyone has ever seen something this bad be repaired before... the cracks are within a credit card sized radius from the point of impact, but they are pretty bad. I'd really rather not have to buy a whole new windshield...

Probably not.

New windshields aren't much, about $200 installed, most places will even come install it at your house for no extra charge. It's one of those things you would expect to be really expensive, but actually is not.

They'll come to your work too, if you can manage to get outside to let them into the vehicle.

Did you get fucking shot at? Just get it replaced. Of all the places to have a weak point in your windshield, do you really want it right in front of your face like that?

Yeah, I can get one for $160, but I'm already pushing my car budget this month... I just bought a set of Kumho V710's, need to replace a bad fuel injector, and still have to pay the entry fees to two upcoming SCCA races. Guess it's time to part out the Prelude...

I went to one of those tents with the blue signs that say "free widnshield repair" and got a few chips fixed, but I dont think they can fix it if there is a crack, but not 100% positive.

I had something similar to that weston, they wouldn't fix it.

If you could, that would be great. It's a '97 Integra 2-door (hatchback). Thanks.

They quoted me $174 + tax installed w/molding. I asked if they still had an SCCA discount, and they quoted me $184 with that, but they couldn't seem to understand my confusion as to how the discount made it cost more. ;ScratchHe

No it doesn't... I cleaned off all the blood. ;) Actually, I just opened it up on the highway and was going a little fast when I hit something that came out of nowhere. I never even saw what it was that I hit. I was slowing down because I was coming up on a large pickup truck in front of me, so I can only assume that it kicked up a rock high enough to make it back to me. This was going up a hill, so that would have helped it's distance quite a bit.

I got mine done for $130 but I forget where, they come to my house and fix it there. Open the yellow book and start calling.
