These new vatozone belts have been a pain in my ass as of late. They've recently starded squeeking again. Me and Hungster originally tightened them down after first installing them. Then they squeeked, so we re-tightened. Now they're squeeking again and it's like the damn AC belt seems to keep squeeling, even driving around now that the weather was cold this morning. When I put the heater on full blast I could drive around and when I'd hit the brakes or go from a lower gear like 1st I'd get a real bad squeel. Normally the car would just squeel on startup for that past couple of days, now it does it even driving. Well it'll do it when I'm using the AC.

The main belt feels noticeably looser than the AC belt, where the AC belt feels firm. Might need to bust out a ruler to see if the tensioner pulley is crooked or something. But if it was you'd think it would of done this since we last tightened them down where it didn't squeek. I've went and ordered some new gates belts as last time I used those since I swapped the old cracked ones for these ones I didn't have any squeeking problem all throughout winter. Anybody else ever had problems in general w/ vatozone belts and their perceived inability to grip aluminum pulleys?

These belts seem to of stretched a good bit as well, whereas the gates didn't.

Hung: you busy this evening? lol I may need to swing by again to try and re-tighten yet again...

i replaced a p/s belt on sumalee's car with vato zone belts and it shreaded in 3 months... repalced it with one from the dealership and it hasn't had any problems...

On my truck i have all new belts from vato zone and they are just fine... it's a hit and miss type deal with those belts.

becareful not to tighten them belt too much...

Ada's old Protege had a simluar problem... There is a belt quiter/non-sqeeking spray. That worked well for us.

My old car did that all the time if I had the heater running. I ended up with all new ones from Napa.
