Question about A/F Gauge

I'm selling my JR A/F gauge and am replacing it with a black one. There is a red wire connected to the fuse box, a black one connected to a ground, and a purple one connected to a blue one by the ECU. Can I cut the purple one right above the butt connector to the blue one? I'm wondering if that wil trip an CEL or not. Would everything be kewl if I cut it for a day or so?

it's already sold. I got the money order in the mail today. I sold my JR boost gauge and JR A/F gauge together for $70
