ok so i have a new problem now. i ditched the FMU finally and went with the fuel pressure modifier (the one you use the stock regulator but cut off the top) so i could actually tune the car....when i first installed it the fuel pressure needed to be bumped up. it was at about 28psi with the vacum line on...so i turned it up a little too much and it sat at around 43 psi now....so i tried turning it back down and it wont go. when the vacuum is on its consistantly at 42psi and wont go up or down. when the vaccum line is off it can be raised above 42psi but will not go below 42psi. could raising it too high have screwed up the stock part of the regulator or is something else going on? any ideas from you guys?
You mean fuel pressure regulator?? ;UgH:

No, the B&M is actually a riser. Should've picked up the Apexi FPR from Pang.

yeah i put a stock one back on from another car and it's running the same fuel pressure. it sticks right at 42. im wondering if the walbro pump im using isnt letting fuel pressure drop any more than that.

Your gauge is probably sticking.
On what kind of car? I know Tobi's a lot smarter than me with this stuff, but my pressure shows 42 psi, and I'm running stock FPR, stock rail, but I'm running 450's and a 255 walbro... so I dunno...

38-45 psi is stock pressure. The only reason to use an FPR is to RAISE it for better spray pattern and for a more adjustable fuel curve with an alternative tuning measure. (Apex-i, hondata, etc.)
Ahhh I see. What would be an ideal pressure for about 9 psi on a t3?

about 45-50 with 440cc inj.
So I could manage to up it a bit.. maybe I should start looking into a FPR.. got any AEM's laying around? I know Pang has that one, but I'm not sure I want silver, I think I want the red one.. maybe an Aeromotive?

well i checked to see if the gauge was sticking but i put another one on and it did the same thing.i am trying to raise the fuel pressure, but i was going to go back down to stock and start from scratch at the dyno...when it didnt go backl down below 42 i thought somthing was wrong but if thats stock fuel pressure then everything;s cool. what would be a good base fuel pressure for 15 psi on a T3/T4 with 450's? and am i setting this base fuel pressure with the vaccum line on or off the fpr?
