So I'm stuck inbetween two choices. Keep the car i have now, or save up for a new car.
I drive a '95 civic that is lowered with eibach sportlines, tokiko blue shocks, skunk 2 camber kit up front and washers for camber in back. What i'm really after is a smooth ride quality that one feels in a new car. I've had my car for over 3 years, and I really want a nice, smooth ride. Is it possible to get my car to ride nicer? I thought about maybe getting a real camber kit for the back, putting in new bushings everywhere, and ditching my 17's for set of wheels with more rubber. However I'd only do this if the ride would be guranteed nicer.
The ride now, is bumpy and rattly and I have to turn up the music to drown out the sounds. They come from the cockpit, up front, and from the suspension.
Thoughts on what to do would be much appreciated.

For starters, ditch those 17s. Go to a 15" wheel if you want more comfort.

Yeah, 15's all the way... better comfort, better performance, and no rubber-band tires that blow the sidewalls out

thanks, I think i will seriously consider making that my next upgrade
What do you guys think about a camber kit in the rear? It really helped making the front a lot smoother ride.
Also, what about the bushings? Stock ones or a special kit? They look really worn, and would be something I"d throw $150 down for, and do myself. Would it help the quality of the ride?

Camber kit will only affect the handling of the car and how it tracks on uneven surfaces.
Most aftermarket bushing kits are urethane and give a stiffer ride. If comfort is what you seek, go with stock rubber bushings.

bolts and washers for rear camber kit and believe it or not kyb struts w/ tenzo lowering springs on a coupe w/ 205/40/16 was one of the smoothest rides I've had...

get new shocks.. like the agx, i heard their lowest settings are softer than stock, while you're doing that put stock springs back in. usually, when you do susp. mods you lost ride quality. a car that is lower to the ground will have increased road noise altogether

I have two (X2) washers in the back on each side. That helps correct the camber...The smaller wheels coupled with the bigger tires definitely help the ride though...I just need to go and weather strip some panels and it should be all good.
