need help

my friend just put a 1999 gsr motor in his 2000 civic with si hernes we did everything we can but it just doesnt start. it gives no spark, all it does it jus crank. we changed the sparkplug, wires, and we got all new distrubutor and still nothing. so if any one can help i would like to know what are each of the wires that goes in the distrubutor. thanks

I'm not talking shit. I'm saying don't get pissed of and impatient because people don't reply to your post within the first 12 hours.

You need to get a GSR ecu. Contact Tobi at TC Performance for one. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you'll need an adapter for the ecu's as well. Anyone care to chime in on this one?

A little sugar in the gas tank will also help the engine to metabolize the solvents in the gasoline a little better, too. Give that a try. :D

That add's about 7hp per cylinder too.. but make sure you use the little sugar packets... the brown whole sugar, like in the restaurants. You have to use about 50 packets per gallon of gas you have in your tank.

cool i ll try the sugar after i try the gsr ecu. does it have to be obd1 or obd2 (2000+) if that doesnt work i ll put sugar not only through gas tank but also through the head.:p :p

ok zzzzzciviczzz what ever thanks for nothing. but if therre is people who is trying help out a brother, we tried the gsr ecu with the obd 2 to obd 1 adapter. and yea still no spark. the motor is 1999 gsr as it said in the Q. and who is tobi because i think the problem is the herness. thanks for the help

Are the wires and/or distributer both known to be working? Tobi is the owner of TC Performance.. look in the phone book or under his forum on the main page called "TC's Performance Corner". Good luck getting it running.

you need to get whatever obd ecu matches ur car. ur distributor and injectors need to match ur obd as well.

Did you use the stock engine harness for the civic on the gsr motor??? The gsr ecu will work just fine, if you used the stock harness then you have something crossed up somewhere.. Also try the main relay... Does it get fuel???
