I need a new computer!!!!
I've found some systems (tower and "guts" only) online for around $400, but am trying to see if anyone else has anything cheaper.
I'm looking for at least a 500mhz, windows box. From their I'm not to picky but would prefer at least a 10gb hard drive and modem or NIC. And some sort of video.
Anyways, lemme know ifyou have anything.
I'm upgrading from my 200mhz pentium one linux box so I'm not really picky hahaha.

it's up to you but I recommend building your own computer (goto any bookstore and get a book on building a computer it's not hard at all)
my current system looks like this...
motherboard: Epox 8KHA DDR
processor: AMD Athlon Palamino 1.6ghz with 266mz fsb (DDR)
RAM: 384MB DDR/2400 (equivalent to 768MB SDRAM)
HDD: Western Digital 40gig 7200rpm
graphics: ATI Radeon 8500
sound: Creative Labs Sound Blaster 5.1
modem: Creative Labs Modem Blaster
IDE Drives: Asus 52x max CD-ROM, HP 8x CD-RW
if you have all the other periphreals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers) you can build a top of the line system like the one I'm running for about $800. Ofcourse you can also downgrade a little and save money.

I have a server box I've been looking to get rid of, its got 256 megs of ram, celeron 850, umm..16 gigs of hdd (I think) basic cd-rom, floppy, I could include a nic also..the only thing I dont really want to sell with it is the video card..its got a newish GF2MX400 in there...I'd rather sell it with the voodoo 5-5500 I have sitting around. It has a Soundblaster Live! in it..umm..not sure if I'm missing anything. Its in a real generic case, but everything in there is pretty new..(I go thru computers like water) I'd sell it for a around $200 with the V5 prolly $300 with the GF2. If you are interested, let me know and I'll get you the exact specs.
