Header install

I got a 91 Acura integra rs and im install a 2 peice dc sport header on it. I got the header on and everything but i went to put the bottom pipe on that connects to the cat and the top part of the header and its a really tight fit. So tight i cant get it up high enough to get a solid seal on the two peices of the header. The muffler shop told me to dent in my oil pan and it iwll give me just enough clearence is this correct or any other ideas ?

I've heard of people not having enough clearance clearing the oil pan. That just goes to show that not all B series headers are the same.
