Building a new setup... $100 to spend on the video card must be PCI-e. Any recommendations?

Setup includes:

Lian-Li PC65 Case
500w PSU
Abit AL8-V Mobo
Intel Pentium 4 630 800mhz/fsb
mushkin 512mb PC-4200
WD Raptor 36gb SATA HD

I'm goin back to water... DD TDX block, BIX 80mm radiator, and Eheim 1048.

I am very pleased with my Radeon 9500 that I got off eBay for like $50. :) Not sure if there's a PCI-e version of it out there or not. Why no AGP?

Board doesn't have an AGP slot.

I figured that much. I'm just ridiculing you for using new-fangled technology. AGP for life!

I got a Chaintech GeForce 6200 for $104 new, 256MB on board, PCI-e. I cannot remember where I bought it, though.

Mario: do not get a 6200...they suck, a lot...and they are slow as all hell. We sell a PCIE version of the geforce 5950 for $100 and some other one..(I dont remember the line right now) 5700 I think..for slightly less, they both rip the 6200 apart.

Otherwise...save a few pennies and get a 6600GT..they are down to like $160 now.. :)

Hey! Don't hate on piece of shit card!

I know, I know, I just needed something that wasn't on board and not [much] more than $100. If I ever get tired of modding the piss out of my car and have some extra cash I'llprobably upgrade it.

But that'll be a cold day in hell :)

I've just had a chance to play with a few and they were kinda disappointing. Certainly not worthly of being in the 6-series of nVidia cards..they feel more like a slow mx 4000 or something. :p
