That's all well and good, but I think car and motorcycle manufacturers need to concentrate more on rear-ending collisions than head-ons. I'm sure the percentage of rear-ending accidents is much higher than head-on collisions. Airbags deployed from the head restraints might help neck injuries. Volvo and Saab have always seemed to do good work in this area.

I think there are a ton more front end related injuries on motorcycles then all others combined.

It would work better if it was an ejection seat that blew you up into the air and surrounded you in quick expansion foam inside a bubble and had a parachute.

Don't fucking steal my idea! I posted that on my other website. I'd work better, until you crashed in a tunnel, or underpass.

Just go all out... airbags, rollcages, and seatbelts! That would be the only truely safe motorcycle in a crash. I don't see how airbags can do much when the rider is completely unrestrained and can fly off in any direction depending on the crash. Too many variables for a simple airbag.
