New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina Advisory

Deteriorating security conditions, escalating violence, and an overwhelming sense of anarchy continue to hamper rescue missions along the Gulf Coast, particularly in the New Orleans metropolitan region. Emergency management officials have reported looting, violent confrontations among victims, and even armed assaults against rescue crews on Thursday.

Until calm and security is restored, Sun Worldwide Security recommends that travel be deferred into those New Orleans metropolitan areas where:

Martial law has been declared;
Curfews have been established; and
Law Enforcement presence has been restricted.

Travel into any such area must be business critical, approved by Sun WWS, the traveling employee, his or her manager, and by a member of the EMG.

One would expect this to be happening in some foreign country like Iraq but this is in our own country. Pretty sad.

i couldn't imagine going down there to find someone... hope you are armed to the fullest with several tanks of gas, alternating shifts, etc... i'm sure a lot of those residents down there are going to apply for a conceals carry permit...

Crazy indeed, talk about a reality hit. One of my coworkers left w/ his guns to go back to New Orleans to go help his family protect their house. Haven't heard from him since he left into that area w/ all the crap going on, but it definately is a sobering thought.

Probably all the low income gangsters stayed behind.... so they think its their town now. The army should just go in shoot anyone that has a weapon.

That's what they might be doing - FEMA is stopping the media from getting images of the dead body and whatnot... the only reason the government would start this shit and raise hell with them with "freedom of speech" bs is if they're running gunboats and "cleaning house." :D

I read some rather shitty news... CO is taking in refugees, mostly uneducated, low income black folks, who lost all their shit (as if they had anything of real value  ). This means that these people will most likely be staying here - the Denver Post interviewed some of these people and they confirmed that idea... "I've never been out of New Orleans, so this is my first time in Denver and it's beautiful. We're thinking about staying and start looking for jobs." Jobs?

Worse yet, these refugees are attracting their relatives, who probably called & and told 'em how nice it is here. Yes, it's lovely here, but if we don't kick these freeloaders out soon, that's gonna change.

Sorry for going a bit OT. I'm still a noob, I'm allowed to do this. :D so bite me.

You're right, let's shoot people for their Second Ammendment rights.

wow, racist?

No, realist.

Look around. No good has ever come from putting a group of poor, uneducated black people in an area. Detroit & Chicago are prime examples.

Like Chris Rock said, "I love black people, but I hate niggers."

I have read a couple post of the people who have gone down to help and how most the people that had to be shipped out are so lazy they wont help them selves. They expect everyone to do everything for them and that we OWE them.

These tards that are shooting at workers and sticking their nose up at relief workers and food are the same welfare shit heads that refused to work and get off their asses before the hurricane. Fuck em.

ROFL that's why we pay taxes to support those pieces of shit, and by pieces of shit I don't mean black people. I mean unemployed america who expects everything to come to them, has no sense, and expects you to bow to them because they have some physical superiority (ie an extra 200+lbs of fat).

All I have to say to the people that come here from new orleans is get a job or get the fuck out! If a 14 year old can work at water world I'm sure there asses can work at water world too. This bull shit will only lead to the decline of our state.

As for all the people who actually were educated or hard working individuals. Welcome to The Wonderful State of Colorado. Thanks for contributing to society.

I want to add more, but I'm afraid I really do sound like a racist mofo as it is. So I'll just end it with a "joke" we tell back in Metro-Detroit.

"Why did the nigger move to Detroit?"

"'Cuz he heard there were no jobs there!"

Also, I'm not a racist - I have as many as five black friends. That's right, FIVE.

As I said in another post... Sorry, I've been drinking...

I have no black friends, and I don't need to have any to point out that statistically, you are absolutely correct. Last I checked referencing statistics does not make you a racist.

But even then, anyone who gives another person a hard time for their racist beliefs is no better than those they chastise, they're just hypocrites who feel justified in their prejudice and persecution of others' beliefs.

That's it. You can't come to our weekly KKK meetings.

Whether or not the stastics are true (which they probably are), the statement sounded very racist.

So your saying Martin Luther King is just as guilty as a KKK member?

Whether or not the stastics are true (which they probably are), the statement sounded very racist. Too fucking bad? Even if the point behind it was racism, that doesn't matter. Ever hear of the First Ammendment? He can say whatever he wants however he wants, and his right to do so is guaranteed. If you don't like it, you're welcome to excersize your right to get the fuck out of this great country.

So your saying Martin Luther King is just as guilty as a KKK member?
Whether your fight is for equality or supremacy, if you judge or comdemn others for their beleifs you fall into the same category as the KKK, skinheads, etc., as this is precisely what they do and you are condemning.

No reasonable person can look at the protesters present at KKK marches, throwing rocks and bottles, and not see how they are doing exactly what they condemn. It would not be acceptable in today's society to do the same if a group of black people were marching, it's a frighteningly hypocritical double standard to think of it as acceptable towards a racist march because of what they beleive. You can't preach tolerance and condemn them for their beliefs in the same breath and be taken seriously by anybody with an IQ larger than their shoe size.

Here in America, we have the right to beleive in whatever we want, be it prejudiced, hateful, or not. But do not confuse that with discrimination; prejudice is a belief, discrimination is an act. And furthermore, you can't omit these racist individuals from your goal for diversity, to be truley diverse they are an integral part of society, and according to these bullshit diversity movements, they should be embraced and celebrated for what they beleive and their courage to stand up and speak it despite great unpopularity.
