Heh... look what I did to a 1/2" breaker bar

I snapped the head off one of my breaker bars this morning trying to remove the axle nut on the driver's side front wheel of the AllTrac.

haha... i did the same thing with my craftsman... took it back to sears for another one, tried again and it did not budge... had to use an air rachet and that barely got it off. good luck

Unfortunately for me, this wasn't a Craftsman wrench... it's a $5.00 one I bought at Harbor Freight like a year ago. I have several others, as well as a makeshift cheater bar; so it's not like I'm really out at all.

I used an impact wrench on that nut for 15 minutes, and it didn't do shit. I ended up using another breaker bar and a 10' cheater pipe to break it loose.

Have you used anything like PB Blaster or penetrating oil? I would spray that on the hard to get fasteners right away and let it soak while I worked on other parts of the car. Then come back and it would be way easier to get off.
