What I have now is a 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0, Im also in the process of getting a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo as a Hand Me down. Imm going on 16, Freshmen in Crowley County High School, in Ordway, I dont really want the Grand so once my parents get a new car and I get the Grand, Ill be looking to Trade or sell.

Not to thread jack. But if you lift it make sure you buy skyjacker. All other lifts for the x-bodies suck. I had a 88 comanche that had a tuff country 4 inch lift on it when I bought it and the truck f@cking sucked. But I swapped it out in favor of skyjacker and the diff was amazing.

BTW, what would be a good starter import? I was thinking a S13 or S14 240SX or VR4, My friends both have Eclipses, Simon has a Blue 91 GS and Estevon has a Blue 95(?) RS, A few other people around here have them but I dont wanna have something I see every day.. So, if you have any Suggestions, other then Hondas, I dont like Hondas...

really just depends on how much you want to spend, if you want power, handling, drifting... whatever.
btw, welcome to HAI

power and handling, i guess you can go for the 240, maybe mk III supra turbo, fc rx-7, e36 bmw, properly set up integra, 91 celica all-trac gt4.

Hmmm.... how much would a MKIII Supra, FC RX-7 or '97-98 240 run me?

Hmmm.... how much would a MKIII Supra, FC RX-7 or '97-98 240 run me?all depends on condition/options the car has. just make sure before you make a purchase, you read up on common problems with that car, and set aside money for preventitive maintence.

Alright, thanks for the advice.
id also tell you to stay away from teh VR-4's. although they can make amazing power, and be reliable, i wouldnt recommend it for your first import. they are notoriously hard, expensive, and time consuming to work on, and even more-so to modify.
And as much as you hate hondas, they are definately a great way to get started with modifying. they are cheap(er) and somewhat easy to work on, and respond well to simple mods. as you get more into it, you can always swap motors for more power, or upgrade to something else. a 240 would also be a good choice, but they are somewhat hard to find in good condition. as the drift fad has grown, i have been finding that more and more of the 240s i see are abused, and neglected in terms of maintenance. that said, good luck and welcome to HAI.
