umm...I have it. Need a place to upload tho' not going to tie my cable up for another 8 hours to send it to someone else. Badass game...well worth the effort of finding it :)

Screw cable too slow, I love this connection, just did a bandwith test and got 2.8 meg up and 2.5 meg down:D too bad this is at school and not at home, but 3 hours on this is plenty

I got the game! I even got the crack to play online. I just don't know how to transfer it through ftp :( Pretty sweet game, just like Starcraft but with 4 races.

heh..working on it. This FTP doesnt support resume...so I'm going to have to wait for a time when I dont need any bandwidth so I'll prolly toss it up there tonight.

Anyway, its just team/ffa type game right now...no single player at all..they are trying to figure out game balance and all that other shit...

sooo...there is also no AI to play against..you have to play against SC pimps like me..hehe

WCIII does kick ass. I played it back over the summer at E3... if anyone has ever played a blizzard RTS (either WCII or SC or any of those) you don't even have to read the instructons or go through the tutorial. All of the keys and movemens are 'natural' and it's easy to figure stuff out. Some of the new races have odd ways of doing thigns (like the night elfs) but it will definatly be a hit when it's released.

Once all the files are downloaded what are the instructions to install? It seems to be the exact copy of the normal cd... it asks for a cd key when trying to install... couldn't find any files explaining the process... i'll keep trying though. anyone get it to work yet?

download all those files...THEN

1) extract the iso
2) install the game using this cd key - FCHFXLJPLATTMWZJRN19D3UOBY
3) run the bnet patch
4) run wc3patcher

now you are set to play..you cant play over bnet because you dont have a key..so you use the bnetconfig program to connect to game server addies. you are region 8 and you can get an ip addie from this url to play on.

alternately...I've been playing on the #lanfoolz server at 128.198.3.141 since its here in colorado. if you need any other help..umm..msg me or something :p

Get a program called winimage. It's over at www.winimage.com it extracts iso's.......

seemed like you had a good game with james today (nazgul). Glad to see some of you are having fun with this beta. I think its going to be a damn cool game when its finished...I can hardly wait. :)

I'm not sure what the hell they did...I'll get one of the admins to get it working again today. We have been playing on the cheater server in the meantime.

What are some good games like warcraft that would be good practice? I remember one very similar that I played a few months ago, but i can't remember the name. I only played the demo, but it was pretty sweet. Is Empire Earth any good? looks kind of cool

How do you like Warcraft 3? Battle Realms is pretty sweet, very nice graphics. The best RTS game I keep going back to though, is Starcraft. :)

honestly, its pretty similar to Starcraft in a lot of ways. The whole hero aspect can really add a LOT to the game, so you can do a lot more to develop your own strategy. However, you can just start playing war3 and figure it out...blizzard always makes great games :)

heros are good but the game usually ends before he can reach lvl 5 so, they should change the lvl spell to lvl 3 or so...
