Anyone plan on running these this season. I've seen a bunch of 1.7 ish 60' times from people with these. Only thing I would worry about is busting parts because of these.......

now those look like some fun tires :)
they had the michellin pilot sport things that they pimp out over on tirerack.com at costco. Surprised the hell out of me..those are some pretty agressive tires for grandma to use on her caddy. Good price on them too..but I'm not in the market for tires at the moment.

busting parts with BFG's?????? sheesh i would have settled for a 2.0 60ft on them.

I was thinking about those for my FWD Laser. I need to run some sort of DOT slick so i can maybe take them on the street if someone is talking crap. :D
How much is the average price on those?

I have a friend who has a set, he ran them last Oct. They hook up well. He didn't bust anything, they aren't that sticky. But they do hook a hell of lot better than street tires do. They are pretty cheap too from what I remember. I need something like that too for this season...

Anyone know how these compare to the Nittos? BTW, anyone have a pair of lightweight 15" wheels for sale? Preferably in white?

Don't bother with the Nittos. I have done quite a bit of research on drag radials lately beacuse I need to buy myself a set. Anyway most guys will agree that the BFG's are stickier than the Nitto and will take a much shorter burnout to get them to heat up. Many guys have said that you have to burn th hell out of the Nittos to get any sort of heat in them. The only down side to the BFG's is that they are softer so they will wear faster.
This is purely anectodal evidence, but the Supra guys claim that the BFGs hook up a lot better than the Nittos, and require less heating up than then Nittos do. I have Nittos and I gotta heat them for about 10 seconds to get them to stick well.
I know Shane doesn't like them, though, so who knows. And we all know how Shane launches that beastie. :)
