I lost the o-ring to the stock FPR. That's not all, I overtightened and broke off one of the bolts to the stock FPR in the fuel rail. Remind me never to work on my own car again!
Now I have two options:
1) get an "easy out" from somewhere and a new o-ring from the honda dealership.
2) Buy all new shit like the AEM Fuel Rail and AEM Fuel pressure regulator. Anybody heard any bad things about those AEM FPRs??

They are ungodly expensive............

yes but wouldn't I pay about the same amount for stock parts?

Junk Yard??? don't know, but these parts should be easy to pirate.

I don't know any junk yards, and my car is pretty much out of commmision without fuel

Call PFI, I know that they have several laying around that would sell for cheap. I even have one, but I am in Germany so it would very difficult for me to sell it to you from here...

I know that they have the fuel rail and FPR. But i guess if you don't have any way to get there, that doesn't really help you out...

I might be able to get my girlfriend to take me, or another friend, but they're both working, and I have no idea where PFI is located.

Well I splurged a bit and got the AEM adjustable FPR and AEM fuel rail. HOPEFULLY it will be here tomorrow. If so, Brian is a god!:)

So can anybody tell me off the top of their heads how to adjust that AEM FPR for near stock FPR performance? I'm assuming I'll need to adjust it a bit before starting the car.

yup you will see that tomorrow. We had it overnighted to you.

I have the AEM FPR, I have it set at 48 psi, If i go down below 45 I get a lean condition and throw a code.

Isn't that a bit high? My stock FPR was set right around 40 with the JR FPR connected, and around 52-55 without the JR FPR vacuum line dettached. So maybe I should set the AEM for around 50 PSI? or lower?

still a bit screwed. I got the new AEM fuel rail installed, and it appears to be the right part, however, there is only about 1/2 inch between the fuel rail and the top of the JR manifold. I need about another inch or so to even mount the AEM FPR. If I try and mount the stock FPR, I'll need another 8th of an inch, or I can bend the fuel return line a bit. Suggestions? AEM is supposed to call me back, and I hate waiting.

not screwed no more, at least I hope not. Okay, here's the deal fellas. I bent the fuel return line just enough to clear the JR manifold, just enough to put the screw in the side where it comes out, and just enough to clamp the fuel return hose on it. This is, of course on the stock FPR with a 1/16 inch hole drilled in it facing down towards the fuel return line. The AEM FPR will not fit, unfortunately.

Then I checked the fuel pressure. All of the following numbers are at idle except where indicated.

Both vacuum lines attached (stock FPR and JR FPR) = 37-39 PSI
Stock FPR vacuum line detached = 44-46 PSI
JR FPR vacuum line detached = 44-46 PSI
Both vacuum lines detached (stock FPR and JR FPR) = 46-48 PSI

Here's where that except where indicated part comes in... After the engine was warm I revved it up to about 6K RPM roughly (from the sound of the engine) at the throttle body and saw fuel pressures barely reaching 70. I'm guessing with 7200 RPM (redline) fuel pressures should be somewhere around 80ish.

And you're sure I'm not going to get any detonation?? I'm taking it out for a spin after I install my new BLACK boost gauge... Hopefully there won't be any detonation and I won't have any problems with it. Gimme a ring-a-ding if you forsee a problem within the next couple of minutes: 303-257-4136

Anybody want a white faced JR boost gauge?

Wow! Two days without boost and one could go crazy :D I was in massive boost withdrawl... probably blew about 50 miles worth of gas in 10 miles, but I had to get on it.

So far things are lookin and feelin good. The partial throttle not boosting situation still happens a bit, but I richened it up a bit via the V-AFC at that area of RPM narrow throttle, and it seems to be doing better. It's possible this LEV shit is making it run leaner then I'd like at partial throttle.

Brian, give me a call sometime and maybe we can talk about returning this AEM FPR since I don't think it will ever fit, regardless of whether or not that damn AEM tech ever calls back. I've got all the parts for it except for that damn o-ring but I'll probably pick one up at the hardware store tomorrow.
