OK, so coming back from the bar (not drinking) I stop by Mann Theater Its about 8:30, so not much is out. I'm talking to a kid with a LS1 TA when a LT1 Very Camaro rolls through and Rev's. I talk to him, and tell him I'll run him if he knows a place nearby. He says he does, so I follow him.
I was a little concerned because my car had been idling, and was a tad warm. Well, driving out to this spot cooled it off nicely.
Anyways, we get there, and line up, we agree on going after the count of 3. He counts and we go.
I launched VERY well, I was really surprised. I put about 1/2 a car on him immediately and then continued to pull some more. I hit 2nd gear (auto) about 54, he pulled up a little, but then began to fall back again. I let off at 80 as he was about 2 cars back and was losing ground.
Stopped and talked to him, he wanted to know "What I had", so I showed him, and talked a minute. Turns out he's in HS and the car is stock, so even with the best driver, he wouldn't have had much of a chance. Overall it was fun, and he was cool afterwards.
