View Full Version : Help please!! Car is not pulling...

Yesterday i let my wife drive my car and i think she messed something up. She gave it go and she redlined it and couldn't shift fast enough and when she did it felt like the tires were spinning because the revs would go up but the car would not pull much. (btw, when this happened, it smelled like burning tire but not exactly, it smeeled a little bit stronger) This morning I tried it on the way to work and it does the same thing, I step on it and the revs go up, i get full boost but the car does not go. It kinda goes when i do it gradually but if i give it too much gas it doesn't. One time i messed up my cluth and it kinda did the same thing, could that be it? Hope that this makes sense... thanks tobi.

My old car did that and it was the clutch. That would be my guess.

Its probably the clutch. We had pretty much same issue with Ernesto EP.

any idea how much a cluth would be? any recomendations?

I can get Exedy and ACT for pretty good deals. The Good news is that your mounts will be cheaper too if I am doing a clutch at the same time. I will e-mail you another estimate with the cost of the clutch on there as well.

I wouldn't recomend a CM clutch. Had it on my h22 hatch only lasted me 7 month.
