I saw these this morning:
http://www.powerslot.com/pages/pro_stop.html
This is my favorite part:
"Pro Stop rotors are machined with our highly effective Vac-U-Slot design and enhanced with a series of “dimples” that look like drilled holes. As the brake pad contacts the rotor, the dimples turn black, simulating the cross-drilled look."
So who is it, when asked if they want to pay more (they cost more then the un-dimpled ones, I checked the prices) for rotors with less surface area and dimples that are apparently designed solely to get clogged up with brake material, who is it that says "yes"? If you offered me that option I think I would just stare at you, at a loss for words. I'm hoping this is some kind of government plot where they keep track of everyone who buys these, then have a massive sting operation where they confiscate all their cars, revoke their driver licenses, and issue them all public transportation vouchers.
EDIT - And they call them "Pro Stop" rotors, because this is what all the real automotive professionals have been looking for to stop their cars:rolleyes:
