I'm going to be getting some lowering springs soon - but can't decide which to get (I've got 205/50-16's on my car)

I want relative ride comfort, but a littler sportier handling.
I also want the wheel gap to be lessened.

does anyone have these springs:
Eibach Pro Kit
Eibach Sportlines
Neuspeed Sport
??

how do you like them - which would best fit what I'm looking for?

maybe I just want my cake and eat it too, but any opinions would be great.

thanks everyone!

I have the Eibach prokits and love them. They are so much better then stock, and Eibach is a name I trust. The drop on these is about 1.2" front and back, which puts you within a finger or two width from the tire to the fender. The Sportlines would also be good, and I think their drop is around 2", maybe a tad bit more.

From what I've heard the Neuspeed springs are very stiff and won't make for a very comfortable ride. I like Neuspeed products, but I like Eibach even more.

I have eibach pro kit springs. They are a good progessive spring. A progressive spring is what you want if you want a little more ride quality. The sportlines lower more, but the the spring rate is less so you don't have as good of handling. The pro-kit springs lower less but have a higher rate through the spring so you get less body roll and better handling.

Hey Nick, I have Eibach Pro-Kit as well, they are more pricey, but well worth it. They ride really nice. I would highly recomend them.

I ran the Eibach Sportlines on my old Si, I really liked the ride quality and the drop was perfect:

Why not coilovers? Or you just want a simple drop and nothing more...

Alot of people I've heard of regret getting springs cause later down the line the want to adjust the height.

If you mainly just want to reduce some wheel gap and get a little "sportier" feel then some nice quality springs are the way to go. The only coilovers worth a damn are well over $1000 like Mugen, Tein etc. Some ground controls or the like are nice if paired with some good quality struts.
Those are my opinions after running all of the above on several cars I've owned.

I've heard some good stuff about H&R springs. I don't have any personal experience, but I thought I might mention them.

Nuespeeds are good. I've got about 40K on mine.

I think that H&R manufactures springs. I think that Nuespeed and Eibach have H&R manufacture springs to their specs.

there's no way. H&R might manufacture springs to eibach specs, but Eibach is a huge spring company, and they have all the right tools to make an awesome spring for any kind of car out there. Eibach was asked to do the springs for the Lotus Elise Sport, and they did an AWESOME job on it. MotorVision even did a televised tour of Eibach when they were going over the Elise. Now, if Eibach was doing springs to H&R spec, that wouldn't happen. Also, Eibach is a MUCH more popular name.

maybe just neuspeed then... this isn't a bad thing. There are a lot of huge companies that send their specs to a different company that does nothing but manufacturing. Next time you pull apart anything electronic, look at all the chips from different companies. Sony uses chips manufactured by motorala for instance. Sometimes one company buys manufacturing from another company...

We want these springs, this size, from this material, at this load rate...

Sometimes it is just easier and cheaper to source manufacturing instead of putting up the money to by your own machinery.

I'm pretty sure that neuspeed is using h&R for this. I just thought that maybe the confusion earlier in this post about H&R and eibach was because of a similar arrangment.

sorry, been busy lately, but just checked back, and was glad to see all the responses!

Yeah, I've thought about coilovers, but am not and will not be very interested in teh long run, to adjust the height - and the cost is much more than I'm looking to spend.

I think that in the long run, the pro kit will be the best way to go. Haven't heard a bad thing about them yet. Sportlines look sweet, but again, I don't know that I'll want the car to ride that low after a while.

so thanks for all the input. one of these days when I get the pro kit and put em on, I'll post some pics.
