Hey Tobi, How much does it cost for an Auto Transmission for a 92 Accord w/ labor? It's my Mom's car. The thing shake like hell when it's in gear (D) after I drove it for 20+ miles or 40mins of driving. But if I put it in (N) the car idle fine. Oh yeah, it only shake when I come to a complete STOP(I have to put it in Neutral to stop the shaking) . If I keep driving for an hour straight it just die if it's in (D) at a stop. She took it to HONDA DEALERSHIP and they thought it was the IAVC and replace it but the problem isn't solve, so she took it back the next day and they diagnose it again only this time it's the Torque Converter. I don't really know what kind of job they are doing at HONDA by charging my mom for something that's not broken (the IAVC) and now they want 3400 for a new tranny. I say Fuck that, trying to rip my mom for something like that. What do you thing Tobi? Is it the Tranny? If so can you give me a price on a used tranny with labor. Thanks You in advance

Might be an engine mount problem like my 91 had. Make an appt to have Tobi look at it. I replaced my front engine mount and the car shakes less. As for it dying out, that is probably not related to the tranny.

Ok, here is the thing it only shake after 30-40min of driving. At a cold start and driving for a little it doesn't shake at all. I start the car and leave it for 2 hours straight in (Park) the car doesn't viratte at all, but once it in (Drive) it shake like crazy and die. Does a bad motor mount cause the engine to die after 40mins of driving? Why doesn't it shake at start up and before the 30min mark.

Mine didnt always shake either. At startup, it didnt shake. Even sometimes in D, it wouldnt shake.

It wont shake at startup because the idle is raised to help warm the car. This higher idle generally reduces vacuum which is no big deal except the rear motor mount is vacuum operated. When the idle is returned to normal the mount is supplied with full vacuum and starts to leak. Im guessing that the front and rear mounts are both broken due to the severity of the shake. I and Hung have the same cars and both of ours had the same problem. Only one of his mounts was broken if I recall, both of mine were broken. I have been fixing this problem on 90-93 accords since they were new and it isnt uncommon. I dont know what dealer she took it to but if thye couldnt figure this one out they have no right working on Hondas. Some dealers these days I swear to God have some brain dead retard apes working in the shop.
I would be happy to fix the problem for your mom and make her car ride smooth again. I need to see the car first and see which mounts are broken then I can give you a price on the repair.

Thank God, if it's not the Tranny. Thanks Tobi, when can I bring the car for you to look at? I know that you're a very busy man.
