View Full Version : Another M3 driver switches to a Civic....

My brother has been getting more into tracking his car, he's been to a couple of HPDE events and will be autocrossing it as well. Up until now he's been running his E46 SMG M3, but it gets real expensive to track it (especially if you bounce it off of a tire wall) and there's no way he's getting a cage welded into it, so he just bought a track car:

I talked to him last night and he'll be selling the E46 and picking up a cheaper DD for daily commuting.

P.S. - In case anyone doesn't know, I got rid of my M3 to get a Civic a few years back.

He's my real brother, and yes, we are always competing. Everyone in my family always competes viciously at everything (you don't want to play Scrabble with us, it gets real ugly real fast).

I do understand what he is doing tho. I love my M3 but damn, its an expensive toy to play with.

yeah, i can see if your gonna track your car hard, you'd rather something that's inexpensive to repair with alot of aftermarket support. you can pick up stock honda rims for 200 for all 4, where as bimmer owners want 200 for each contour or double spoke rim. Rather see him only have to pay 80-200 bucks for a honda bumper instead of +1000 for a bmw bumper
