I need someone to fill this ASAP so if you are currently not working here is your job.
If you fit the description please send your resume to esellers@shipapx.com. If you want to know more about the job PM me. Please do not e-mail me questions about the job, send them PM style.
I assume pay would be in the $10.00-$14.00 DOE but I don't handle that side of it. The terminal manager you interview with would be able to tell you what the pay is (I'm just a computer guy).
Thanks.

Please read entire description.
We are looking to hire an IT associate ASAP. We are looking for someone with a wide range of knowledge in all levels of IT.
This position will be responsible for day to day IT needs. We currently run 10-12 Windows 2000 machines as well as 12 diskless QNX nodes. Our server room contains 2 QNX hosts as well as five Windows 2000 servers. You could think of this position as an on-site helpdesk. You will be responsible for all hardware repairs (we use various PSC scan guns as well as Zebra thermal printers), customer file uploads, general PC support, etc. Sysadmin skills are not needed as our corporate IT handles that role but you must be able to support them in an emergency (WAN link down, hardware failure, etc). Basically what we need is a "jack of all trades" type person. Someone who can crimp a new ethernet cable and an hour later replace a print head on a thermal printer.

We are a small package shipping company in north Denver although we have facilities all over America. Do not expect a corporate office type layout. If you're afraid of getting dirty do not apply as most of the computer equipment is located in a warehouse.

Skills Needed:
-Windows and Office experience is a must (as well as active directory).
-Basic UNIX experience is needed (the more the better).
-Basic networking experience (both LAN's and WAN's).
-Good hardware skills are a must.
-Must be able to work without supervision.
-Must have good problem solving skills.

Skills that will help:
-USPS manifest knowledge.
-Small package experience (FedEx/UPS/Etc).
-Bilingual
-Ability to multitask.

Must be willing to work nights/early mornings.
Must be willing to work six days a week.
Must be willing to work ~60 hours a week.

If you have a degree in computer science this is probably not the job for you (based on the wage). On the other hand, if you have no degree or cert's but you know what you are doing, this is a good way to get your foot in the door in our IT department.

1: i don't control what people get paid and as stated, that pay is just a guess, it might be something different which is why i ask people who are interested IN THE JOB to contact me.
2: it is not an hourly position so anything you work over 40 hours is time and a half
3: if you saw what these guys do all night you would not complain about the pay. 95% of the job is spent sitting around.
4: for some people any job is better then no job

If you have a degree in computer science this is probably not the job for you (based on the wage). On the other hand, if you have no degree or cert's but you know what you are doing, this is a good way to get your foot in the door in our IT department.

True with having a job versus not having a job... I take it though your company gives out good overtime seeing as how the new employee will be expected to work an extra 20 hours a week.

Even at 10 bucks, that's a good chunk of change to support one's self and if somebody's wanting to get the all endowed experience to put on a resume for something higher paying and grander down the road, it's a start and opportunity that's worth the time. I had to bust my ass with shitty and unreliable contract work for a couple of years to get that kinda experience, I'd gladly of taken up that position when I was first starting out simply cause of the 'reliability' part. Full time, and stable pay, not something to take lightly in the IT industry anymore.

I'd jump on it now if you guys were only needing a weekend person lol.

I agree with Justin - if I was jobless, I would be all over this. The job I have right now is a window to a promising IT career. Good luck to whoever applies.
