Passed a very clean silver VW w/ tinted windows and some sort of polished after market wheels. Originally drove by him while I was passing a cop very slowly. After the cop turned off one of the streets on Arapahoe the dubb pulled back up to me and blew off in my ear :) . Sounds like it was a recirculated BOV (muffled). Anyhow we catch a red light and stop, and it turns green and I slowly start going on with him kind of blowing off a little bit, and I gradually let the rpm's raise to the 4k band in 2nd gear. At that point I'm sure he has noticed my exhaust note kicking way up and i start to gently lay into it ~4k. Initially he's at my drivers side door and once I go full throttle he drops back by ~ 2 car lengths steadily and I let off. Somewhere in between I did shift into 3rd and possibly 4th, can't remember right now but I konw we were going pretty fast down Arapahoe (not a good idea) so I immediately slow down and give him a thumbs up. Then we catch another red light at lima and this time we both start off slow and he starts kicking his car up again and I gradually just transist into the 4k rpm band again. I do notice that he then guns it and starts jumping ahead. I gun it probably in 2nd gear, and he stops pulling with around 2 car lead distance on me and I start gaining on him. 3rd gear, I'm pulling...pullling...pulling, neck and neck with his car, I'm passing him, shift into 4th, and I've got about 1 1/2 cars going on two and I wave my arm out the window and immediately slow down to get off on my side street. His car was really nice, and definately sounded very nice w/ the bov. Definately an aggressive looking dubb, was nice to have a little bit of fun. When we ran there wasn't traffic so it worked out quite well. Nice to know this 70,000 mile clunker still has a little umph.
