Any kind? I was thinking about buying one but my body guy was saying that they tend to crack. I don't know if maybe he is refering to cheaply made ones or all of them in general. I'm just wondering if anyone has one and how they like it? Does it flex a lot or is it pretty stiff? Thanks for the help guys!

I have one on my Spyder. Basically depends on the brand IMO. VIS & SEIBON are very good quality.

We just installed a VIS carbon fiber trunk on ALBSJDM03's Mazdaspeed Protege last night. Again very good quality.

We just installed a VIS carbon fiber trunk on ALBSJDM04's Mazdaspeed Protege last night. Again very good quality.

I saw Albert on the way to school today on sixth. I was looking at his car thinking of this thread, when he looked over at me. Once I recognized him, I honked and waved over my roof at him. It took me a long time to realize that the car in front of me that got over after that, thought I was honking at them and throwing my hand in the air out the window at them. lol. I was like, "Hey, it's Albert! Oh, I'm glad this slow guy finally moved." lmao.

VIS is what I would go with so I am hoping that this is a myth or only applies to crappy CF made trunks. Thanks for the input. Anyone else?

They don't make a trunk for his ride. He already has a hood. To much work.

Where are you ordering it from? And how much?

My boy Greg from Technospeed is getting it for me. I need a new hood and I am doing trunk at the same time. I didn't know VIS made a trunk for the sedan until I asked. Should be about a grand or maybe a little less.

Technospeed...why does that sound so familiar for some reason?

Do you know Greg Peters? He owns it. You might know him. . . Jerad buys from him a lot too. . .

It was around 11:00-11:30 am. You looked right at me. I was in a maroon, 91, 4-door Accord. You were in the middle lane around 6th and Sheridan and I was in the fast lane.

wouldn't that be hella expensive if someone had a trunk made out of a complete diamond? I mean what would you put in the trunk? fiber?

The clear on Carbon fiber likes to crack on everything, it's just how it is.

I don't know about trunks but with carbon fiber hatches you have to reinforce them from the inside. I saw couple of them that were reinforced and people still driving with them with out any problems.

I can get Seibon ones for less than a grand, pm me for a price. I can get TCSportline ones for even cheaper. Be sure to include your car year, etc.

I have a TC Sportline hood on my sebring, and can verify that it is one of the best quality carbon hoods I have ever seen. I have had it on my car for 3+ years and it never faded from the sun or showed signs of cracks in the clearcoat.
