you need a blowdown tube...

what he said. If it is mounted securely and has a vent tube you can mount it pretty much anywhere you like.

I ran nitrous at Bandimere and it never got teched. I did it properly with a blow down tube, etc, but they never looked. My system was hidden pretty well though.

When I ran nitrous, I never had a blow down tube and still passed tech. Yay for me.

you can just say you aren't using it that day...

The other thing you can do is when they ask "what times are you expecting to run today?" just say somewhere between 17 and 18 seconds. They won't even bother looking in the trunk then, unless they see your nitrous lines out in the open. Then run 14s or 13s or whatever.

It only for look. Just buys some hose @ Checker or Autozone and clamp it on the NOS bottle and rout it down the trunk hole ("blow down tube"). Total cost is like 5 buck. They usually don't check the back of the car but some time they do. From all those time I ran NOS at Bandimere they only check the NOS bottle twice.

This thread seems like a good place to mention this. Please do not skirt around tech. Do it right and go through inspection right. There is a reason its there. John and Loraine have said that if they can't get the recent situation under control, they might have to close the track. Because of alot of recent accidents over the last 3 years, their insurance is going quite high. Not to mention they're currently being sued and the possibility that there will be a new track in the springs competing with them only make it harder.

Skirting tech is one thing, but I think the tech inspectors should be a little more thourough. Some days you can roll through there and have the tech inspection done in about 30 seconds. I have relocated my battery (legally) and not once has a tech inspector checked that it is mounted correctly and checked that the switch works.

I completely agree. John has been threatening jobs as of late to take care of that part of the issue.

Competition is a good thing.

once again agreed. I just don't want to see bandimere have to close. I think that as long as we're all honest, it'll make it that much easier for them to take care of their employees who are getting lazy with their jobs.
