svt focus wheels jacked

Saw a Silver Focus SVT in Boulder in the parking lot where I live, sitting on 4 jacks with....no wheels. What is wrong with people? Now I'm paranoid as hell for my car. :(

What can we do to stop this?

I've got an idea on how to stop it... how about don't buy nice cars that somebody wants parts off of or the whole car if you live in an apartment and you don't have a garage. You don't see the neighbors Ford Exploder missing any wheels do you? Or the Chevy Citations engine yanked? Save your money instead and get an even nicer/faster car when you can actually afford it.
Oh, what am I thinking, there is nothing nice about a Ford Festiva look-a-like Slocus.

We just need to invent quick release wheels for cars, like the ones they have for bikes. Then you could just snap em off and leave your car safely looking like it's already been gutted...

While we are at it we could design a stereo that at the push of a button turned itself inside out with wires dangling out of it...

Who knows. I'm a proponent of being able to electrify my car with 100KV. Keep everyone away from it.

I'm definitely putting off doing a few items to my car until I have a place with a garage with alarm. Stuff like a paint job or having a nice stero put in will have to take a seat until then.

well we were in the process of getting a garage, we were in our place for only a couple of days and didnt have time to get a garage. so it sux. and smithz, your freakin funny man LOL thats some good shit.

But i think its a good idea to sign a petition for cops to be more alert on stolen cars more then street racing. Id like to see more feedback on if its a good idea or not.
