SOunds somewhat normal, most cars will go rich for a split second when the throttle snaps shut, in a straight-through exhaust it can be heard as a pop. Dashpots were introduced to solve this issue, mostly for emissions purposes, by easing the throttle shut the last few degrees. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. And if you're super cool, at night you may be able to see a little fire in the pipe, just like in The Fast and The Furious :D

Well the thing is, during shifts when it backfires the motor seems to hesitate at the moment of backfire and it is no pop sounds more like a gunshot, people within 100 ft duck lol.

its all natural. I had a 95 SE and every time i took it up through 6 in second then shifted into 3rd it would take about 2-3 seconds then BOOOM, and people are like shhhhiiiiittt! run, hes shooting at us. One nite some peeps in a jeep got really pissed at me cause i did it right next to um. It was fun... Thats all i really can say. Blast on !!!!

If you have your air filter rihgt on your throttle body are you still running your MAF? If not that could be your problem

Every thing you post is stupid, or just plain wrong. You also like to bring up old threads. Knock it the fuck off.
