a friend bought a 81 and 84 the guy he bought them from said the fuel pump and carberator needs replaced i need to know how much those are gonna cost and to put it or what not i told him he should get them looked at but yeah

I just got mine replaced in my 87' 16v and it wasn't cheap. I'll try to find out how much it was pretty soon and I'll post it up.

Should be a pretty easy job. If it is anything like my gti ( which is should becasue vw like to us e the same design on everything forever) you pull up the trunk liner and it's right there with three bolts to take it out.

Wow, they made an even crappier Scirocco with a carbeurator? If the FI engine makes 91HP, the carb'd version must be weak even by lawn mower standards :rofl:

the guy who sold it to my friend said the fuel pump n carb needs replaced the friend said it runs cool when they spray then engine but once they stop it dies sounds like its not getting fuel

i told him to get it checked out from a volkswagon specalist

but yeah i know nothing of cars n my friend only knows muscle cars
