i was wondering how to tell if a wiring harness is obd0 or obd1? and which ever it ends up being, will it fit easily on to a b16a and easy to hook up for the swap?

thanks

OBD0 plugs look like they're yellow. OBD1 are gray

Which ECU do you have, OBD0 or OBD1? How easy it is to hook up is going to depend on your motor, ECU, and wiring harness being OBD0 or OBD1. If they all match you shouldn't have any problems (that I'm aware of). Does the wiring harness have the plugs for the VTEC? If not, you're going to have to wire in a VTEC engagement switch (i.e. rpm activation). On my Z6 I also had to mess with the distributor wiring; not sure if it's the same with the B16a.

just tell us what year car u have., and im sure we could tell u what harness it is.. and they make both obd0 and obd1 b16a's.. so either way u can get one that will work.. if u are obd1.. and u happen to get a obd0 b16a.. all u got to do is change to an obd1 vtec dizzy and u might have to run a 4 wire o2 sensor.. not positive on that.. but either way u can make the swap work pretty easily.. with small or no wiring modifications... other than vtec pins in the ecu.. which im sure a local shop could pin in for u
