the welds :)
Matt's log style manifold was cracking at the welds from the weight of his T3... with the stress of the exhaust temperatures, engine vibration, and the weight of that big-ass turbo, are you sure that the welds alone are enough without a brace?

My tubular has been holding up well for the past year or so with a T3/T4, and most of that time was spent with no flex section. I think the quality of the welds has a lot to do with how well it holds up. Mine is a Lovefab and the welds are very good, they actually look a lot like Pangs.

I suppose you're right... but in either case, I'd still be a little leary of running a tubular manifold without a reinforcing brace of some kind.

If you get a good one and a cheap one side-by-side, the difference is obvious. Good manifolds are much thicker/heavier and the welds are much better. We got a Lovefab, Full-Race, and SSAC next to each other and it was very interesting. The Lovefab actually was the heaviest and had the best looking collector, the SSAC was scary with very thin material/crappy collector/clumsy welds, and the Full-race was a bit lighter and had a shorter merge on the collector than the Lovefab. The Lovefab and F-R welds were both very good, but the fitment on the F-R was better, probably because the Lovefab is hand-made (I think the F-R manifolds are machine-made now, but I'm not sure.).

Matt who, with the blk Si........eh hes running a "Spark Racing" Manifold ;)
Im not worried about my manifolds cracking. Thats why I include a 2 year warranty to the "orginal buyer" :).

Atleast Pang is honest about his turn around time with building manifolds, not like some theif I know who takes your money and peaces out.
