will a GSR oil pump fit on a B16?

Wrong. DOHC Non-VTEC and DOHC VTEC oil pumps point different ways. The VTEC one is angled, I believe.

i thought poeple put R pumps on ls/vtecs, that kinda why i was asking

Yes it will fit I have a GSR for the LS I am building. You cannot use the water pump on an LS unless the head is Vtec, Just curious why the GSR and B16 have basicly the same Oil output. I think? Did your B16 OP give out or what?

and i still have that messed up b18b until that gets all figured out i don't have a car and i can't run this fucking weekend and he won't ghet ahol of me. i'm trying to be civil about the whole thing, could have been bad parts or he could have known but until he gets back to me i don't know anything else

It's actually the timing belt, not the head that matters for the water pump. You can use a GS-R water pump in a LS, if you also use the GS-R timing belt. Of course, there's no reason to do so unless you are making the LS rev higher.

As for the GS-R/Type-R oil pump, I'd be very interested to see some actual evidence of how it's better... most people just assume that it's better because it's for the B18C engines, but that doesn't mean it is. Take the GS-R water pump for example, it would be counter-productive to put it in a LS... it has more teeth so it actually spins slower; that's needed when the engine revs to 8000+ rpm, but a LS doesn't do that.
