I was just in thought about the long lines at Bandi...why can't we (HAI) become a "club" and have our own night every other week or so...has this been tried before and who would be in before I start really digging for it....I mean hell there's already Decals we can put on our cars if this goes though...

i wanted something like that when Club Clash was still in our hearts. Colorado Import Aliance never quite did it for me. :)

I figure there's enough of us to create a club of some kind....and I am sure most of us have fast enough cars to really compete with one another or in a multi-club clash....lets get this ball rolling I (we) just need to see that there WILL be support when it comes time to do something about it.

This has been tried with CIA and didnt work. People are all talk and never show. 50 people say they are coming and 8 of us would show up.

Who's going to pay for those track days in the mean time?

I figured if we start a club a membership fee would cover most things...anyway I am trying to see who would be in before I do real research into it.

I ran the club for the last 5 years and attendance has gone down every year. Last year there was an event with 4 of us. That was the clincher. I got tired of promoting it to have everyone promise to come and no one showing up. You are welcome to start it up again but be prepared for shitty turnouts and too much work for very little interst. Plus most "clubs" want to be with their own kind so its hard to get several people that are not already attached to their friends club or thier brothers club.

Yeah...that's why I was inqurieing....maybe I can get AWDpirates and us into it...I know there are a lot of racers there that wouldn't mind starting up something.. Tobi what were the fees and hoops needed to jump though in order to get this thing rolling.

I would like to at least try for shits and grins....I feel we could get at least 12-15 cars a show...I know the meet and greets we have had have always had a good turn out.

THAT'S 311POSTS FOR ME SHIT YEAH

There were no fees and hoops...

Well if it is nearly free and easy....I don't understand why no one would want to go though with it

To register the team its $30
To race it is $30 per racer per night. (6 events)
There are no payouts and the event very rarely gets finished, if it does finish it is at midnight or later.

Not exactly cheap.

I'm not looking for money payouts just a more open track to race on....I don't really like having to wait 30-40 min a run and then only get 4 runs in in 5 hours.....sounds to me that this has been tried before and failed...I am still going to look into it, but doesn't look like it will get off the ground

Try an hour to an hour and a half between runs.

Why not just race the ET series instead? Lots of us show up at that.

Not exactly a club event, but takes less time, you'll get as many time trials, and there is $$ to be won.

Club Clash = corvette and mustang frenzy. Soo many of them it's terrible. If you show up past a certain time they only give you one time trial, if you show up after like 5:30 or 6 pm you don't get any time trials. Also, Club clash is one of the most crowded events around.

Huh...so the whole club thing isn't the best idea then huh...oh well

Kinda off topic, but what about a club thing at a road course?
I know there is a bunch of clubs with SCR that get some benefits.

Is this a viable option?
Would the benefits be worth the cost?

Do you know any ladies who are free and easy?....................If so you might actually have a decent turnout for this pipe dream.
