Help Please.

Hope somebody can help with this. So I am completely ignorant when it comes to wiring things that are electronic. :rolleyes: I have a 78 GMC pickup (with HEI) and last night I finally got around to buying a tach. But I am completely lost when it comes to wiring this thing up to the ignition. Any one know how to do this??

The HEI ignition uses a single coil, correct? If I recall that's GM's first attempt at a distributorless ignition, or am I remembering it wrong?

Anyway, typically a tach gets it's signal from the negative primary terminal on the coil. For specific instructions on the installation, I would try a few Google searches.
