i think the firebirds were discountinued this year. the ws6 is a transam with a beefier engine and i think the ram air hoods. you thinking about picking one up dima?

F body camero and firebirds are no longer being produced. I bet you could find a new one still on the lot, but either 2004 or 2005 was the last year of production. WS6 is a performance package much like Z24 or SS is to Camero.

Firebird Formula has the V8. Otherwise....it's a V-6.
TransAm is w/ the V8 (5.7).
WS-6 gives you a Hurst short shifter, Ram air...and a really cool badge on the back!
Dangerous car with the proper modifications! Can you say....Lingenfelter?

Correction, the F-body was discontinued in 2002.

ah, now we're talking ;) sheesh, i can see the point in this car (even though it's not a 4 banger ;) ) and it's not too expensive. only I can see that 6-speed manual on a V8 is only in specs - no dealership listings ...

The 6 speed isn't too hard to find. I think at least 40% came with them. Before 98 you'll have a different body style and the LT1 engine. After 98 you get a more agressive look and the LS1. They made 275-285 from 93-98 and 305 for the WS6 package. The LS1 started at 305 and the WS6 puts you at 325. If you put an LS6 head and cams in there with an exhaust you're looking at some serious hp.

Those things are nearly impossible to park. Youre all laid back real low and there is nothing but miles of dash and bulbous hood in front of you.

You get used to it. Kind of like driving a truck with an enclosed trailer. You can't see shit but you know what you're doing. They are impossible to drive in bad snow, and if you do it anyways you're retarded.

ok now, i started with asking a question for my friend, and now i end up being all excited at getting 300+hp for 10 grand? haha ;)
but ok, i get the main answer - that there won't be such a thing as 2005 Firebird.
thanks everyone!

Nope, there is no Firebird in Pontiac's long term plans. The GTO pretty much took its place.

You would but I worked at a dealership and as a valet so it sucked because I never got used to them, but I see what you are saying.
