So I was cruisin in the Toyota forklift today and I came around the corner on the north side of the yard and one of my punk-ass co-workers came through the warehouse door at about the same time riding on the Yale. He had this look on his face like he thought he was all badass because he had propane injection, but I knew he was no match for the 4.3L V6 power of the 'yota. We hit the straightaway and we both punched it at about a 1MPH roll. I imediately got about two fork-lengths on him and it would seem at that point that it was over, but then he started to pull. We were both quickly accelerating, 3, 4, 5MPH!!!! My grip on the wheel tightened as I hit the rough part of the yard as I knew that the axles were solid mounted and I was about to get a beating. I laid out the forks to make it more aerodynamic and to put my center of gravity closer to the drive wheels. The toyota came into it's power band and soon stopped the yale's progress on the ground it was making. Nearing the yard shack I had a good one and a half fork-lengths on him and decided to shut it down. He of course did a ricer fly-by and tried to hide his shame.

My skid steer tops out at 6mph, and I have a forklift attachment for it.

My old forklift was a Toyota with a clutch you could rev the shit out of the motor and pop the clutch for some tire smoke. Now we have a Hyster which sucks the fn brakes don't work worth a shit so I cannot go fast unless I want to spear something.
