Tom you going to the meet this Saturday?
i'll be up there but not in this car. im still working on a new rear end and hood so its bumperless and has two holes in the hood. im sure you've seen it at school lately. but i was thinking about going to that joules thing in the springs and don't know how to get there.

ha...ive seen that car before....on autotrader and driving around...
sad to see a swift GTi being mis-treated like that....first thing you need to do is rip that god awful wing, hood, and body kit off that beast and return it to stock looking.
check out ssgti.net or.com lots of quick and cool people there

Me? Or is there another Tom around here?
I was unaware there was a meet, I'll see what's going on in the event forum.
ssgti helped build it the first time. The wing is gone and im looking for a new hood, i need to get that and the fender. after that its going for paint (one color). im the other tom also. guess there is more then one ;NutKick;

exactly what is on the headlights, in a couple shots if looks checkerd... kinda like wrinkled CF... than other shots it looks like a really bad use of army tape...

So are you dericing this thing? Or what exactly is the plan?
And you really should get that masking tape off the headlights
Yeah the headlights and tail lights are free of tape. yeah i plan or sorta de-ricing it. i will probably leave the body kit till i can afford a new one but that will be after a hood and the body work and paint. also the new engine. I will have some new pics up soon not good ones though i took them for insurance purposes so its all dirty but it will show most of what i have done already.

ok well on the bad news the new hood did not come in today even though they said they shipped it no one knows where its at but i will get the pics up anyway. keep in mind this is just a project car and i have no money. i drive it around cause its good on gas. i am open for opions not that it matters cause i get them anyway. :fu: but this is the first step in progress

:werd:
take the vinyal(sp?) off ASAP
i tried but its really really stuck to the paint and when you peel it even with the heat gun and water it takes the paint with it. but yeah that is DEFINITLY the next thing to go.

It's a Suzuki Swift GTI. They were only called the GTI for one year since Volkswagen sued, then they were the GT. But still they're badass little cars, and they definitely were the GTI of their time. It had all the ingredients of the original GTI (light weight, fun engine, playful handling).

Riiiiiiiight, when I think Suzuki I think "badass" ;)
yea im going to get the rear bumper put back on this weekend and try and remove the blue decals from the side. and maybe do some bodywork on it (like the roof) it is pretty fun to get going and handles pretty good for a stock suspension. and yes it is a GTI

when I hear Suzuki It make me think Hayabusa not a crappy car. Suzuki don't make good car anyway. well not one that I've known and none of my friend or familly drive one. But hey, Good luck on that car.
Well this weekend i plan on getting the rear bumper back on and fixing the front end damage. The Big blue decal on the side was removed but took some of the paint so i hope that by the end of the weekend to have it at least put together and primered. So no more holes in the hood and dented fenders.
