I was going to my parents house this afternoon, and had just pulled off the Diagonal Highway going east to get onto Airport Rd. While I was at the light I noticed there was a Ford F250 Diesel next to me, aftermarket rims, but I wasn't paying too much attention. When the light turned green we both drove off normally and I kept going higher and higher in first at half throttle and I realized this guy wanted to go. I've been having some traction problems in first so I shifted to second and was at 4 grand and floored it. By this time the truck had eeked out a nose on me, but slowly I started to pull back. By the time I shifted into third I was even and when I let off at 80 I was a car ahead. Judging from the smoke cloud pouring out his exhaust, he clearly was modified. So despite not getting hard on in first and giving up a lead, I still managed to pull out a decent win.

Nice job. Some of those diesel guys need to be shown what's up.

I had a very similar win with a turbo F250 diesel as well.. in fact, replace your car with mine and you told my story. ;) Half throttle until I saw him smoke, then floored it. Was really impressed considering how much they weigh. ;)

When I went to Bandi there was one who ran against me. He ran a 14.4. That was scary watching him pull on me so bad.

I had a turbo diesel run on me too. Didnt even know we were racing until he just slammed it, and all of a sudden he was a few car lengths in front of me. This truck was more noise then go though and I got right next to him quickly, only to have him turn into 7-11 for some chew, or 3.2 Bud.

Love that ish! I tend not to mess with the big trucks....cause all it takes is one slip of the wheel & they're rolling over me like a big'ol girl.
Anybody seen that T.V. show Trucks? They took a Chevy Diesel & slapped propane injection (BullyDog) on it WITH a Nitrous kit....then put it on the Dyno. I think they eventually got high 400s for HP & something just shy of 700TQ.

Mustang GT's...surely not. They are GT, which stands for Gran Turismo, which stands for fast racing....

I'm not saying you can't make a diesel fast, I'm just saying it's not really cool at all. I'd rather run 14's in a honda than 13's in a diesel truck. Try and follow me on the twisties in ur F250. I could build a dragster if straight lines are the only thing that counts.

It would be a little cooler, I guess, if it was yours. You're all talking shit about your dad's truck? OOOOOH. ;)

well its just retarded to make any vehicle fast on road when you have more than like 2 tons of mass to deal with. inefficient and goofy

I wouldn't...I would much rather run 14's in my diesel and still be able to pull 13 hondas to and from the track. To some people straight line racing is all that counts.
