Which to Choose?

New hear and just had a couple questions, well only one really. I just finished my first year at Boulder and am now looking for a car. Used to own a GSR but sold it and have anywhere from $6,000 to $11,000 to spend. My question is should i buy a nice car now or spend $6 on a fast little car and wait for cars such as the WRX or G35 to depreciate and save up money. Kinda in between but any input as to possible good platforms for $6,000. Oh yeah i found a stage one modified 1992 S4 here in boulder, really like it but insurance and milage are in account.

ive driven a prius, it actually wasnt to slow. or perhaps i just think everything is faster after taking off my turbo :(
