I have a Lightning audio 4 ch amp but am running both channels brigged to mono. Basicly running two subs off each one. I have only one RCA set off my sub output on my deck. This only makes one sub work I put a set of femal to 2 male spliters on the rca's. It worked like a champ for a minute or so then I poped my sub power fuse ( one of the cheap glass 20amp ones) I was going to change that out for a Circut breaker after the snow melts but was wondering if the amp will be okay run like this with the RCA's split like that? I have a two channel amp I guess I could put back in and sell my LA amp if it wont work right. Also if I plug it in like that how should it be the deck right split to front and rear right and the deck left split to front and rear left?

lighting audio amps are pretty good.a freind of mine is setting world records with the 2000.1's,2 woofers or 4 woofers?what ohm are the woofer's?dual coil? what size power wire?whats the grounding spot for the amp look like?the shorter the better on the ground and you want to make sure it is clean.no paint, no rust even at the battery grounds. a good clean ground is a amps best freind.oh and the rca's have nothing to do with the fuse blowing unless you have them gounded out some where. pm me if you have anyother ????

I only had two of the crappy auto glass fuses one a 20amp and the other was a 15amp It popped after turning the deck up to like 30 on the volume. I put my other 2ch amp back in and it works fine now just doesnt bump as hard. Not as good an amp and not the same power. If the RCA's don't make a difference then I will install my circut breaker later this week. For now I just put a 30amp glass fuse in there. I have a 1400 watt amp wire kit with 0 gauge 2 farid cap digital power distribution blocks etc... but Didnt have time to install all that. I ran a cheap 10 guage amp wire kit for now will make some changes later when time permits.

B20. Don't worry about the fuse under the hood. The reason why it poped was not because of how you have the RCA's wired. It popped because you were pulling to much current through it. You were probably pulling 60 amps of current that is why it popped. No need to do a Circut Breaker, just get a larger fuse. It will be fine. If you have the amp wired correctly you shouldnt have any issues. Changing the RCA's has nothing to do with the power. You could mess around with RCA's all day and never hurt a thing. They are not powered, they only have a signal traveling through them. Let me know if you need more info. :werd:

I know I have a 100 amp circut for the power wire I just have not installed it yet. I didnt think the RCA's had anything to do with it I was mainly asking about the way they should be split both lefts off ther left etc..? I have the proper amp fuse and if there was a problem with the ground then the amp wouldn't power anyway. I would rather use the lightning audio than the crunch I have now. It sounded 100% better the clarity is much better.

the amp would come on even with a bad ground.but you wont get the power to the amp like it should.a good clean ground is a big help and if you upgrade the wire with the 0 gauge you should be able to run it the way you want.

I know it is not the ground as I am having no problems with the other amp although it is not the same power. I have a much thicker grounding wire 4 guage and will now be putting in my 1400watt amp kit cuz I am going to pick up a directed 1100d and 2 JL W-3's so I will have to run the better amp wire kit.

1100d great amp I have a freind who runs 8 of the 600ds in his truck and 2 1100d's in his car.if you have the battery power you can run the 1100 d @.5ohm.but in his truck there is 10 yellow tops and a 400 amp alt. do your headlight's dim? oh and the cap is junk and will not help your system.because the cap is made to discharge quick and charge quick but when you have the volume up bumpin down the street the cap has no chance to charge.if anything run an extra battery in the back.I've been running a stinger battery in my wife's car for 3 years now and yet to see the lights dim once.on the stock alt of a eclipse.

B20, I have a 15 Farad Cap for sale if you want it. This is the baddest cap on earth. you can see it here. It is brand new with all the connections. Never Used. I picked it up when I worked for Quality but I never installed it.

This is not mine tho. I would be happy with 2 bills or so. Maybe trade considering....

EDIT: this will go perfect with ur set up if you decided to run the 1100d and w3's.

Looks nice I am not trying to build some comp set up or anything I just want to have a descent sounding setup for now. I would install another battery but I don't want to pump a shit load of money into this thing as I won't keep it but for a few more years maybe.
